Peaceful Dissolution - Moon in Pisces 5/4 - 5/7

THE GOOD

With the Pisces Moon, the Queen of Heaven enters into a chapel, or a zendo, or some similar kind of contemplative, quiet atmosphere. Here the Moon is hosted by Jupiter, Lord of Priests and Pontiffs, in his yin, feminine manifestation as opposed to his more masculine manifestation in Sagittarius. Intuition, dreamtime, psychic awareness, and the profoundly felt sense that we are all connected deep down - these are the things that the Cosmic mother teaches us during her stay in this zodiacal sign.

This is not the time to push your will onto the world. This is a time to cease from doing and remember the truths of life that really matter. Take this as a time to reconnect to the profundity of life that put you on a spiritual path in the first place. Return to the beginner’s mind.

The Moon forms two lovely sextiles during this period. She first comes into harmony with The Sun, her astral lover, dispensing harmony and grace onto the earth as our environments and surroundings (ruled by the Moon) and inner wills and drives (ruled by the Sun) come into a positive alignment. Expect flow states and ease in life. She also forms a lovely sextile to Venus, providing ample amounts of interpersonal harmony and a cooperative spirit to all people. This will greatly complement the already quite emotive and social character of the sign of Pisces.

THE BAD

There are no seriously difficult aspects to worry about during this period, but we should still mention the square to Mercury and the trine to Mars. The Mercury square will make rational communication and linear thinking more difficult. Good thing that we have a Venus sextile to the Moon in a Water sign - practice speaking from your heart instead. Let go of the need to rationalize and codify everything around you. The Trine to Mars will bring greater intensity to this lunar period - you may become agitated at times, and feel a need to push things forward out of season.

As Divine and sovereign beings, we are not called to abdicate responsibility and our power to act, but we do need to remember to index our own need for control to the natural rhythmns and calls of the world in which we live. How have you been pushing yourself too much in your life? What can you do to surrender and allow from a heart space, instead of constantly trying to control life and bend reality to your will? What steps can you take during this lunar period to loosen your grip on certain parts of life?

The sky’s lack of majorly difficult aspects does not mean you will be free from any troubles. To determine that you, you need to examine your Time Lord periods in annual profections and zodiacal releasing. You can book a session with me to help you with that if you don’t know how to do it on your own!

THE WYRD

According to the PGM (Greek Magical Papyri), this an excellent time for prediction and fortune-telling. This is a great period to have an astrology, tarot, I Ching, or any other kind of intuitive reading. It’s also a great time to give that kind of reading, as you will be more connected to the divine. This makes sense - the internal, more ecstatic, yin sign of the God of Priests (Jupiter) would naturally lend itself to sudden clarity and foreknowledge.

With the Moon occupying a sign ruled by Jupiter on his day (Thursday) I would recommend doing some Jupiter magic during this time, on Thursday May 6th. There is no aspect between the Moon and Jupiter, but the sextile she forms to Venus can be especially helpful for attracting abundance towards yourself.

Moon in Pisces: Peregrine. Without any essential dignity, though not in her detriment or fall. The Moon continues to be somewhat unsteady, but this is an excellent period for emotional exploration and self-care. Free-form journaling, walks that have no specific destination in mind, and other practices or rituals that help you to get in touch with your own emotional center will be greatly supported here. Visions may also come to you, as Pisces is, by far, the zoidion which is most overtly connected to the other side.

Triplicity and Quadruplicity: Bicorporeal Water. Bicorporeality indicates activities and moods which are a mean between the extremes of tropicality (cardinality) and fixedness, not as erratic and changing as the former, but not as solid and steady as the latter. The water element emphasizes the emotional and inner life, and people tend to prioritize their own inner states and unconsciousness patterns. The atmosphere takes a very reflective tone.

Moon’s ruler: Aversion to Jupiter in Aquarius. There is no help in grounding her significations, or changing and making anything long lasting arise. There is also less protection from the Mars square (see below).

Relationship to the Sun: Superior Sextile to the Sun in Taurus. This is a positive placement. There will be a good bit of harmony between your own desires and intentions, and what the world is offering you. Flow states will arise, and the manifestation of your will into reality will be much easier

Aspects

  • Superior Sextile to Venus in Taurus. Interpersonal harmony is strengthened, people are charming and more tolerant towards each other. The arts flourish, and the creative juices get flowing.

  • Superior Mutable Square to Mercury in Gemini. This is a difficult aspect - tension could arise between you and your surroundings. You may feel more frustrated and upset with yourself and your own behavior.

  • Superior Water Trine to Mars in Cancer. Internal frustration, anger, and irritability will be very pronounced. You will feel a lot of initiative towards changing your circumstances and pushing through resistances, but there will also be a danger of burnout.
